“ I did a pickup order from The Roots. Part of our order was missing. I sent them a message on Facebook to question it. The person said for me to send them my address. He was literally here 10 minutes later with our missing pieces. And would not accept a tip. That’s customer service. Oh...and it was delicious! ”

“ Been going here ever since my mom introduced me over a year ago. Always incredible. Best cha gio I've had in a long time - they actually serve it right with basil / mint and lettuce to give it extra crunch, freshness, and complexity. And they have tasty chili oil to put on everything too. The pho (including the bun bo hue) is the best I've had or closest to it. Their broth is so flavorful - it's refreshingly deep and complex, like a broth cooked for over a day should be! It's hard to not get it every time I come and branch out! Speaking of which, I managed to tonight(only because my wife still got pho ). The shaking beef was really tasty and super tender, I was surprised at how nice it was. And the fried rice actually tastes delicious on its own, unlike most other places that serve bland stuff that needs a sauce to go with it. The cool thing about this place is their people - always super kind and great to talk to. They take care of you. They didn't have what my mom ordered, so they offered a special they are starting tomorrow (a marinated grilled Korean beef rib) to see if she liked it. Incredibly kind to do that a day ahead of time - and it was wildly good! You could taste the char and the marinade, all while cooked to a perfect medium rare and tender to boot. If definitely get it next time I go! In short - this is the best Vietnamese I've had, and I'm always happy when I drive over 12 hours to visit family and get to come here. It's always at the top of the list. Update: beef ribs still fantastic and the new bo kho is fantastic! ”
